This page is the entry point to GBI Division of Forensic Sciences quality system documentation. The quality system documentation includes the following components:

  • DOFS quality documents required for the laboratory’s accreditation (Current + Archived Versions Available). These documents outline the laboratory system quality processes that are followed in order to meet the requirements of ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Quality assurance and quality control procedures (Current + Archived Versions Available). These documents outline the specific quality assurance and control steps followed within each area of forensic analysis performed in the laboratory. 
  • Analytical procedures (Current + Archived Versions Available). These documents provide the detailed instructions and guidance used by the forensic scientists and technicians in the laboratory when conducting analysis and reporting the results obtained from each analysis.
  • Operations procedures (Current + Archived Versions Available). These documents outline operational parameters within the laboratory to help facilitate the flow of evidence and reports in the laboratory.
  • Training procedures (Current Versions Available). These documents outline the current training programs used for new scientists and technicians in the laboratory.
